Terms of Service
Effective August 29, 2026
These terms are an agreement between Sky Web Management LLC ("Synodo", "we", "us") and the
church or organization that creates an account ("you", "your church"). By creating an
account or using Synodo, you agree to them.
1. What Synodo is
Synodo is software for running mentoring and discipleship programs: curricula, groups,
meeting guides, homework, messaging, attendance, and intake. We provide the software.
You decide how to use it and who you invite.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 and authorized to act for your church to create an account. The
person who creates the account is its first administrator and may make others
administrators. You are responsible for keeping credentials secure and for everything
done under your account.
3. Your people and your content
Everything your church puts into Synodo — member details, messages, prayer requests,
curriculum, submissions, files — remains yours. We claim no ownership of it.
You are responsible for having the authority to enter other people's information, for
telling them how it will be used, and for obtaining any consent your jurisdiction
requires. If you enter information about minors, you are responsible for obtaining
verifiable parental consent where the law requires it.
You grant us only the permission needed to operate the service: to store, process,
transmit, back up, and display your content to the people in your church who are
authorized to see it.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Synodo to break the law, harass or endanger anyone, infringe others' rights,
upload malware, attempt to access another church's data, probe or disrupt the service,
or resell access to it. We may suspend an account that does.
5. Trial, subscription, and payment
New churches get a 30-day free trial with no card required. After the trial, Synodo
is $49 per month per church unless we agree otherwise in writing. Prices may change
with at least 30 days' notice, effective at your next renewal.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card details.
Subscriptions renew monthly until canceled. Cancel any time in Settings; your
subscription runs to the end of the period you've paid for. Except where required by
law, payments are non-refundable, though we'll always consider a fair resolution.
6. If payment fails or you cancel
We show a warning and allow a grace period (currently 14 days). After that, the account
is locked: members can't sign in, and administrators keep access only to billing and
data export.
We do not delete your data because you stopped paying. You can export it at any
point, including while locked. If an account stays inactive for more than 12 months
after a lapse, we may delete it after emailing the administrators at least 30 days
beforehand.
7. Deleting your data
Administrators can delete individual people or the entire church from Settings at any
time. Deletion is permanent and takes effect immediately in the live system; residual
copies may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period before being overwritten.
8. Our software
The Synodo software, design, and trademarks are ours. You get a limited, non-exclusive,
non-transferable right to use it while your account is active. Don't copy, reverse
engineer, or resell it.
Curriculum templates we publish are provided for you to copy and adapt for your church's
own use. Curricula you create stay yours, and we don't publish them as templates without
your permission.
9. Availability
We work to keep Synodo running but don't promise uninterrupted service. We may change or
discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we'll give at least 60
days' notice and a way to export your data.
10. Disclaimers and limits
Synodo is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied,
including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from these terms or
your use of Synodo is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the
claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or
for lost data or profits.
Synodo is not a counseling, medical, emergency, or crisis service. It is not a
substitute for professional care or for contacting emergency services.
11. Indemnity
You'll defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your use of
Synodo, or your breach of these terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using Synodo at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that
breaches these terms, giving notice and an opportunity to export where reasonable.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. For material changes we'll give at least 30 days' notice by
email or in the app. Continuing to use Synodo after that means you accept the update.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kentucky, without regard to conflict
of law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in
Kentucky.
